Juan Valencia

Our beloved Juan Valencia, age 80, of Outlook, WA passed away in Prosser, WA on Monday, January 28, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. Juan was born on June 10, 1932 in San Jose, Mexico the son of Eudosio and Aurelia (Zamora) Valencia. In 1958 he married Juana (Lopez). Juan was a migrant worker for many years until in 1997 he settled in the Yakima Valley. He was a member of the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Granger, WA. Juan cherished time spent with his family, he also enjoyed fishing, hunting and farming. Juan is survived by his loving wife, Juana Valencia of Outlook, WA. Fifteen children, Ramon Valencia (Maria Elena) Prosser, WA; Jose Valencia (Raquel) of Zillah; David Valencia (Norma); Gloria Valencia (Manuel); Jesus Valencia (Rosa); Ofelia Valencia (Jose Luiz) all of Outlook; Aurelia Valencia (Leonel) of Mexico; Magarito Valencia (Esmeralda) of Toppenish; Maria Valencia of Tacoma; Manuel Valencia (Elva) of Outlook; Irma Valencia of Yakima; Juan Valencia(Asuzena) of Sunnyside; Teresa Valencia of Tacoma; Rafael Valencia (Elida) Mabton; Isidro Valencia of Outlook. Fifty-three grandchildren, including special grandson, Maurico Valencia, and numerous great grandchildren, three brothers, Eudosio Valencia, Pedro Valencia, Aurelio Valencia and one sister, Zenaida Valencia of Mexico. He is also survived by a special daughter-in-law and care giver, Elva Mendez. He is preceded in death by his parents, three daughters and one son.

Viewing and visitation will be Thursday, January 31, 2013 from 2-8 pm with recitation of Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm at Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside, WA. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, February 1, 2013 at 9:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Granger, WA with burial to follow at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside, WA.
