Born September 24, 1934 in Wendell, Idaho to Melvin A. and Mary Adgey (Ott) Grindstaff. She grew up in Jerome, ID and attended Jerome High School. Barbara married Max Wickham in December, 1955 in Elko, Nevada. They moved their family to Sunnyside, WA in 1959. Barbara was secretary of the Washington State Cattle Feeders Association, member of the Novella Club and Republican Precinct Committee Woman. Barbara and Max worked for Walls, later Walco International. Barbara opened and operated a successful western wear store, The Livery Barn, on Sixth Street in 1967. She later drove school bus for the Sunnyside School District for 17 years. She had many fond memories of her bus kids. Barbara is survived by her husband of 56 years Max Wickham. Grandchildren Jamie Jo (Jake) Watson of Boise, ID, Cheyenne (Gary) LaViolette of West Richland, WA, Jeremiah (Aimee) Wickham of Nampa, ID, Matt (Olivia) Sorensen of Boise, ID, Derek (Dawn) Wickham of Meridian, ID, Chris Trammel of Sunnyside, WA, Blake (Sara) Wickham of Meridian, ID, Josh (Megan) Wickham of Ellensburg, WA, Jordan (Mariah) Wickham of Ellensburg, WA. Ten great grandchildren Max, Kayla, Emma, Katelyn, Micah, Elise, Lilith, Rogue, SophieAnn & Sawyer. Barbara is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. At Barbara’s request, there will be no formal services. A celebration of Barbara’s life will be held at a later date. The family requests no flowers.
