Alvin Louis Webb, age 85, of Sunnyside, WA passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2015 in Sunnyside, WA. Alvin was born July 14, 1929 in Versailles, Missouri the son of Louis and Catherine (Shewmaker) Webb. He received his early education in Missouri. Alvin married his first wife, Linda M. Koehler in Prosser, WA. He later married the love of his life, Peggy L. Workman on August 30, 1952 in Prosser, WA. Alvin was a truck driver all his life and retired from Yakima Rendering (Darling Delaware). Alvin loved to hunt, fish and was a good mechanic. He had been a member of the Washington State Grange, Teamsters Union of Yakima and Church of Christ in Sunnyside.
Alvin is survived by his children Karen Prentice of Hoquiam, WA, Alvin Webb Jr. (Mary) of Bickelton, WA, Kathy Bogert (Jim) of Sunnyside, WA, Steve Webb (Tammy) of Sandy, OR, Ed Webb (Sarah) of Port Orchard, WA, Bernice Webb of Vancouver, WA and Kyle Kollmar (Teresa) of Grandview, WA. He is also survived by 32 grandchildren, 63 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren and lifelong friend Bill Rogers. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Peggy, two sons David and James Webb, two brothers and seven sisters.
Viewing and visitation will be held on Friday, July 10, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside, WA. Graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lower Valley Memorial Gardens, Sunnyside, WA.
