Andrea Rodriguez

Andrea Rodriguez, age 81, went to be in the arms of her Heavenly Father on Sunday, October 2, 2016.  She was born on November 10, 1934 in Edinburg, TX the daughter of Miguel and Cruz (Garcia) Navejar.  On October 5, 1955 she married Ernesto Rodriguez in Toppenish, WA.  Ernesto and Andrea made their home in Outlook, WA until moving to Grandview, WA in 1960.  Andrea started working for Twin City Foods in 1976 and retired twenty five years later in 2001.  She enjoyed flowers, yard sales, dancing, spending time with grandchildren and great grandchildren and going to the casino.   Andrea will always be remembered for being a fabulous cook.

Andrea is survived by her husband Ernesto Rodriguez of Grandview, WA, children Raul Rodriguez of Vancouver, WA, Ernie (Dena) Rodriguez of Kennewick, WA, Octavio (Sheila) Rodriguez of Prosser, WA, MaryLou Tucker (Bob), Sylvia Rodriguez (Bill Lambert), Gilbert Rodriguez (Sandra Rodriguez), and Sabrina Rodriguez all of Grandview, WA, thirteen grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He is also survived by seven siblings: Sue Robledo of Yakima, Paula Lemos of Sunnyside, Basilia Soria of Grandview, Manuela Espinoza of Sunnyside, Sarah Navejar of Tri-Cities, Lenor Aguilar of Tacoma and Clemente Navejar of Pasco and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother Fructoso Navejar and two sisters Delfina Alafa and Josefina Garza.

Viewing and visitation will be Wednesday, October 5, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm with  recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 pm at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Grandview, WA. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, October 6, 2016 at 10:00 am at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Grandview, WA with burial to follow at Grandview Cemetery in Grandview, WA.
