Armandina M. Moreno

Armandina M. Moreno age 83 of Prosser, WA passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, July 15, 2017 in Prosser, WA. Armandina was born April 20, 1934 in Parras de la Fuente, Coahuila, Mexico the daughter of Juan and Consuelo (Macias) Marquez. She attended school through the 6th grade in Mexico. On November 29, 1953 Armandina married the love of her life Jose Nieves Moreno in Texas.  She was a devoted homemaker and mother of nine children. Armandina enjoyed cooking, crocheting and embroidery. She also loved visiting family, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and Friday’s at Legends with her daughters.  She was a member of club Guadalupano.

Armandina is survived by her nine children; Felipa (Adolfo) Saldana, Elda (Ismael) Quinonez, Juan Jose (Abigail) Moreno, Consuelo “Connie” Flores, Dora ( Jose Humberto) Cervantes, Jose Nieves Moreno Jr., Armandina (Baltazar) Barocio, Leticia (Jesus) Montes and Guillermo "Willie" Moreno, twenty-seven grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother’s children Maria Elena Marquez, Guadalupe Marquez and Gualberto Marquez. She is preceded in death by her husband of fifty three years Jose Nieves Moreno, parents Juan and Consuelo Marquez and brother Jose Heriberto Marquez.

Viewing and visitation will be held Friday, July 21, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm with recitation of Holy Rosary at 6:00 pm at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Grandview, WA. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 8:00 am at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Grandview, WA with burial to follow at Prosser Cemetery, Prosser, WA.
