I am so sorry to hear about your dear mother, "Mandina." I remember your dad and mom from my growing up years. My fondest memory of your mother is being surrounded by girls, the boys were outnumbered. She always had you all well-groomed and fed. Your home was filled with many people, she always kept her composure and lovely smile. She greeted all with her beautiful smile and a welcoming greeting. I will never forget her kindness and caring manner. Every time I would see her, she always greeted me with a "AAAYY, Elena!! Cuando llagaste! Y como estas?" And then she give me a bear hug! I always felt like I never left home when she among many of the other ladies (old guard) would greet me like that! The "old guard" being Mona Escamilla, Rita Arrellano, Lucia Moreno and Amelia Martinez! The "old guard" is fast disappearing, some are still with us. What they represented and gave to us all will be embedded within us always. Talk about "strong" women! There was always food and much laughter, whatever "woes" we may have had, food and laughter made it better. My husband Pepe knows them all from the many stories I have shared about them. They will be missed. Mandina is your "guardian angel." Our sincerest sympathies. (Elena Lopez-Barrientes)

Dear Juan and Family,

We never were blessed with the opportunity to meet your mother; but we have no doubts that she was a beautiful person with a nurturing heart. We offer our most sincere condolences to each member of your wonderful family. The loving legacy that she left will echo loudly and fondly in your hearts. May our God embrace you and give you comfort during this time.

Hugs and prayers,

The passing of a dear loved one, is a difficult experience for the family. Sorry for your loss. It is through the privilege of prayer, that a bereaved family can experience God's love and comfort in the most intimate way. May you all find comfort, as you pour out your hearts in prayer to Jehovah, "the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trials".
2 Corinthians 1:3, 4.
