Uncle Elias,
I always saw you as the quiet force of your family. When we were younger and you lived with Abuelita & Abuelito, It made such an impression on me on how you always took care of their needs. I think that's why living with Mom & Dad as they got older I felt I wanted to be their for them and take care of their needs. You set a good example for me to follow. You were so loved by all our family. I'm so glad I was able to join everyone in helping you to celebrate your birthday. I know you never had any Children of your own but I think in your own way you thought of all of us, your Nieces and Nephews as your Children and we loved you for that and always will. Love your Niece, Lala

Uncle Elias, when I was in Washington in March 2016. I went to say goodbye to you. I was wearing my crucifix and when I leaned down to say goodbye. I told you I loved you. You noticed my crucifix and told me whenever I touched my crucifix to think of you. I told you I would. I want to tell you I don't need to touch my crucifix to think of you. You are always in my heart but now when I do touch my crucifix and think of you it means so much more. I love you, Angelica Martinez

I'm so glad that along with other family members I was able to spend his birthday on Easter Sunday with him. We had a wonderful visit. I will miss seeing him at the family events, his manner was so like my Dad, they are together now.
Rest In Peace with God, Uncle Elias.
With Love - Charito. (His Niece)

Uncle Elias -

You were the uncle that reminded me most of my Dad. Not much to say but taking everything in. The best memories of you are when I was younger and we would visit you in Seattle. You always made sure to host a big BBQ for us and invite whatever relatives were around. It was always so much fun! You will be deeply missed and I know that your family was there to greet you with open arms, especially Dad.

Love you lots!!

HUGS! Thank you Tío Elias for the great times we've had recently and throughout the years! Heaven has received an awesome man and I know you're having a great time listening to all your favorite dance tunes with my dad and all the family at your Heaven welcoming BBQ party. You will be greatly missed. 😥 R. I. P. Tío

Uncle Elias, you were may favorite Uncle, when we would come visit Grandma and Grandpa you always went out and got chips and soda and Pan Dulce for us, sometimes you gave me and my brother change from your pocket and that meant the world to us. I was so thankful that I was able to spend your birthday with you this year. You were the one that reminded me the most of my dad, with your quiet demeanor and generosity with your time. Now your with my Dad, Uncle Enrique, Aunt Lupe and Grandma and Grandpa, you must be having good times up there.
Love
Christina (la Chiquita) as you would sometimes call me.

Tio, time moves us all in different directions but my Aunts and Uncles have always remained in my heart. I will forever remember the small pipe you gave me so I could be like Dad. Your warm smile is an image I will carry with me the remainder of my life. Dad loved his brothers and sisters very, very much as we witnessed every time he saw them. You made him happy and all of us appreciated that. Hearing your voice the last time we spoke meant more to me than you may ever know but it is my final memory of you. . . , I love you Tio. God Bless you and send my love to Mom & Dad.
