James “Jim” Allen Comstock, age 55 of Sunnyside, WA. went into the arms of his loving Savior on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 in Yakima, WA.  Jim was born on June 20, 1962 to John Henry Jr. and Darlene (Harris) Comstock in Seattle, WA. Jim graduated from Mabton High School with the Class of 1980.  On May 26, 1990 he married Paula Jean Howard at his parents’ home in Mabton, WA. He served in the United States Marine Corps. and worked with the Harrier Jump Jets in ordnance serviced in Honduras and the Panama Canal area.  Jim worked as a transportation and receiving supervisor for Holtzinger Fruit Co. for 20 years. He enjoyed shooting guns and teaching his boys about gun safety, playing hearts and cribbage with family and friends, playing volleyball and watching the Seahawks and the Mariners.  Jim truly cherished the time he could spend with his family and loved cooking for them at special family get-togethers. He was a member of the Mabton Grace Brethren Church.

Jim is survived by his loving wife Paula Comstock of Sunnyside, WA. his children Samuel Comstock of Yakima, WA. Nicholas Comstock of Sunnyside, WA. and step-son Brian Carlquist of Zillah, WA. His parents John and Darlene Comstock and numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews. He is also survived by his siblings David Comstock (Claire), Dianne Burke (Larry), Matthew Comstock (Shirley) and Phillip Comstock (Ginny).

Memorial donations may be made to North Star Lodge Cancer Treatment Center, Yakima, WA.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at the Grandview Nazarene Church, 500 North Elm, Grandview, WA. at 11:00 AM with a luncheon to follow at the Mabton Grace Brethren Church, Mabton, WA.  An Inurnment with Military Honors will be held at a later date. A notice of the service time will be published prior to the Inurnment Service.
