Linda was a wonderful friend throughout the years of my life. She was warm and sensitive and supportive in many ways. So many memories flash through my mind…sitting in church together; sleep-overs; roller-skating; picking out materials and my mom sewing clothes for us as we squirmed and giggled. We had matching outfits down to our shoes. She generously let me wear her prom dress to a YFC function. She was my maid of honor at my wedding. Later on, we shared our journeys through breast cancer. We never saw each other with bald heads but she helped me immensely with her words: “I just wear a baseball cap.” No matter how much time passed when we did connect, it was like yesterday again. I will miss her. She will remain in my heart, a cherished best friend. To Earl, Trent & Tod, and Mrs. Asher & Jerry…you are in my prayers. May God give you His incomprehensible peace and comfort during this difficult time.

Linda was always an impeccable lady! We had such fun on the Sunnyside High School rally squad as Song Leaders --- shaking our pom-poms and dancing to the pep-band music! But Linda was always so lady-like and feminine! She showed her graciousness throughout the years. A lasting memory for me will be the Ladies Slumber Party at the beautiful Lasley home in Bickleton where she hosted the gathering for a few us silver-haired foxes! God bless the Lasley family during this difficult time.

I was so sorry to hear of Linda's passing. I hadn't been on the computer for a few days but received a call from Carolyn Howat Myers and then from Cheryl DeVoe and the message from Norm Hellbusch. When Carolyn moved to Sunnyside from Grandview in 9th grade, my life became entwined with her new classmates in the Class of 1960. Linda was such a neat lady. My thoughts and prayers are with each of you.

Just when you think life is getting a bit easier and you are enjoying every moment, you lose someone you loved, respected, and admired. Someone who touched your life in so many ways. All I can say is that Linda was that person for me, and for many others. Her wise counsel, sense of humor, and thoughtfulness will be sorely missed.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
