Marlene Jane Robertson Graves

Marlene Jane Robertson Graves, age 82, of Outlook, WA. passed away Saturday, August 15, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 15, 1932 in Altoona, PA. to William O. and Sara Jane Fauner Robertson. Marlene grew up, graduated from high school, took some college courses and on March 7, 1953 started anew by marring Henry Harrison Graves in Altoona, PA. She was a dedicated wife and mother, this was her main calling in life. Marlene not only loved and cared for her own children but for many others that came into her life. She married a career Air Force man, traveled the world and maintained her home and family so that Henry could serve his nation. Marlene’s family and friends really were her hobbies and interests, however she managed to fit in an affinity for stuffed bears, she never seemed to be able to get enough of them! Christ was also a big part of Marlene’s life; it was where her family and home was rooted. Church also insured that there were always friends and family around to fill our home with Joy and Love.

Marlene is survived by her loving husband Henry Harrison Graves of Outlook, WA. Children William Michael Graves (Susan) of Goose Creek, SC. David Henry Graves (Mindy) of Bonney Lake, WA. Daughter-in-law Debbi Graves of Selah, WA. Mark Allen Graves (Jeananne) of Charleston, SC. Thomas Scott Graves (Gwendy) of Basin City, WA. Paul Brian Graves of Outlook, WA. and former daughter-in-law Robin Graves of Charleston, SC. Marlene is also survived by her brother Richard Robertson and sisters, Patricia Donovon, Deanna Luckenbaugh, Beverly Wilinski, and Debbi Hrzic. She has 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Marlene is preceded in death by her son Stephen, parents William and Sara Robertson.

Graveside services will be held Friday, August 21, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside, WA. with a memorial service to follow at Corner Stone Assembly of God Church at ll:00 a.m. in Sunnyside, WA.   Those wishing to sign Marlene’s online memorial book may do so at www.funeralhomesmith.com Smith Funeral Home Ltd. and Crematory in care of arrangements.
