Roberta Jean Zieske

Roberta Jean Zieske age 76, lifelong resident of Sunnyside, WA lost her battle with cancer and peacefully passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2017. Roberta was born June 11, 1940 in Helena, Montana the daughter of Frederick and Bernice (Schmidt) Buchmiller. Roberta was an Elementary School Teacher in Sunnyside for 30 plus years. She was loved and fondly remembered by all her students. Roberta spent the last 7 years helping at United Methodist Preschool.

Roberta is survived by her loving husband of 55 years William Zieske, son Mark Zieske (Mara), 4 grandchildren: Samantha Taylor, Timothy Taylor, Hunter Zieske and Alex Zieske, 1 great grandson Dante Taylor.  She is also survived by sister Carol Ring (Jerry) and brother Bill Buchmiller (Peggy). She is preceded in death by her parents and daughter Michelle Taylor.

At the family’s request no formal services will be held. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to American Cancer Society, Heartlinks Hospice or a charity of your choice.
