My sincerest condolences to the family for the passing of Ron. I know he loved and cared for all of you very much. I have known and worked with Ron for over 35 years serving with him on many boards, groups and forums dealing with complex water issues. Ron was a mentor of mine in many ways and taught me a great deal. He was a constant resource of knowledge and experience that will not be replaced. He had a great sense of humor and loved to give me a hard time. I enjoyed time spent with him over the years especially on the golf course where his will to play despite physical limits always amazed me. This will and tenacity was evident in other part of his life as well. Thank you for allowing me to visit with him in the hospital. Ron was a good friend and I will miss him. His passing and the passing of Jim Trull not that long ago have both impacted me in a very personal way. This leaves me as the longest tenured manager in the Yakima Basin. With the grace of God I hope to carry on even a small portion of their legacy and what they represented. May God Bless and keep you.

To my children:
I am proud that your Dad and I, after 30+ years of marriage, were able to continue as loving supporting parents to the three of you and to show our grandchildren that we could all unite for the special holidays, birthdays, and graduations. I am sorry we weren't able to make it to Arizona for the celebration of Christmas. I am glad I was able to say good bye to him before he journeyed on, he will always remain in your hearts and in mine. Love Mom

Dad, I miss you so much. There are not words to describe the emptiness that I feel now that your gone.
You were the most amazing father a girl could ask for. You were kind, gentle, generous and oh so patient. You were firm but fair and the life lessons that I've learned from you, I will carry with me always. I will forever cherish the time we've spent together especially our time in Arizona...I knew then what a gift from God that truly was. Long talks on the back patio with coffee in hand. Walks around the beautiful lakes just taking in the Arizona sun and quiet nights again on the patio to sum up the day. Some of the best memories I have as an adult. You have touched so many lives with words of kindness, wisdom and ,most importantly , love. I didn't think it possible to be any prouder of my father but the amount of love and respect that keeps pouring in over this last week leaves us speechless ...your legacy lives on and on in all the many lives you have touched and I am eternally grateful and proud to say that I am Ron Van Gundy's daughter.❤️❤️❤️ I love you dad.
