Santiago Pérez Muñoz

Santiago Pérez Muñoz, age 93 of Grandview, WA passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 in Grandview, WA. He resided in Grandview, Washington since 1982.  Santiago was born November 27, 1922 in Pettus, Texas the son of Herculano “Pablo” Pérez Muñoz  and Juana Ramos. He would always say that what kept him alive was watching his family and grandchildren grow.  He always made his family laugh with his great sense of humor.  He loved his farm in Mexico and loved his vegetable garden.  He worked very hard to make sure his family always had everything and was grateful to God for everything He provided.  He was not just a father to his children but many of his grandchildren consider him their father too for the way he loved them.  He died surrounded by his family and he got to say goodbye to all his children. 

Santiago is survived by his wife Dorotea Pérez.  Children: Hermelinda Pérez, Socorro (Delfina) Pérez, Olga Pérez, Alicia (Rafael) Rodríguez, Nicolas (Petra) Pérez, Lourdes (Augustine) Tlatenchi, Santiago (Martha) Pérez, Isidro Pérez, Miguel (Darlene Zepeda) Pérez, Leticia (Mark Herrmann) Pérez, Isaac (Irma) Pérez, Ofelia Pérez. His family included 55 grandchildren, 76 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents Herculano (Pablo) Pérez Muñoz and Juana Ramos, daughter Juana Pérez Martínez, paternal grandparents Nicolas Pérez and Juana Muñoz and maternal grandparents Serapio Ramos and Abundia López.

Viewing and visitation will be Friday, April 15, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Grandview, WA. Funeral Service will be Friday, April 16, 2016 at 1:00 pm at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Grandview, WA with burial to follow at the Grandview Cemetery in Grandview, WA.
