Victor Thomas Rivard

Victor T. Rivard , 72,  of Mabton Wa. Passed away on September 7, 2016. Victor was raised by his Grandma Galland in Mabton, Wa.  Victor married his High School sweetheart Donna Baumgarten in September of 1962. They were married for 1 year when he went into the Navy in 1963 and served in the Philippines as a Postal Clerk in Yokohama, Japan. When he returned from service he worked for the Grandview Postal Service for 12 years. Victor returned to the Navy in 1980 and served 2 more years and came back home, where he became Manager of the Grandridge Mobile Court in Grandview for several years, then he owned Southside Auto Shop in Mabton for about 8 years. Victor is survived by his wife Donna, 2-sons, Rick (Janet) Rivard, Chad (Lisa) John. 3-Grand children, Sheryl Rivard, Mathew Rivard and Brad Stills, 5-Great Grand Children, and 1-sister Dottie (Tom)Van Dorn. Victor was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Martha Rivard, 1-sister Pattie Winter and 1-son Aaron Rivard.

 Graveside Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 30, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Mabton Cemetery, Mabton, WA. Those wishing to sign Victor’s online memorial book may do so at www.funeralhomesmith.com   Smith Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
