Wayne Miller

Wayne Miller, 66

Wayne Miller succumbed to pancreatic cancer May 24, 2016 with his wife at his side.  Wayne was born to Fred and Lola (Morton) Miller September 9, 1949 in Toppenish, WA.  He attended grade school in Outlook, WA and graduated from Sunnyside High School in 1968,  He went to Whitworth College for a year and then joined the Marines.  After his service in the Marines, he returned to the Yakima valley and enrolled in YVC and then transferred to Central in Ellensburg where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with an MBA in Business.

Wayne married his wife Patty (Mitchell) in 1975.  They have been residents of Southern California since 1983 and currently reside in Indio, CA.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father, Fred.  Besides his wife, he is survived by his mother Lola Miller, Sunnyside, WA; brother Jerry Miller (Anita) of Mercer Island, WA; sister Diane Miller (Richard) of Kapolei, HI;  his sister Lois Hickenbottom (Jerry) of Camano Island, WA, three nieces and six nephews.

Wayne loved spending time with his family and friends.  He also loved golf, reading and watching the Seahawks.

A Celebration of Life will be October 15th, 2016 at the home of Lola Miller  from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., 2350 Sheller Road, Sunnyside, WA. Those wishing to sign Wayne’s online memorial book may do so at www.funeralhomesmith.com Smith Funeral Home Ltd. and Crematory in care of arraignments.
