Charles Ruben Leighty

Charles Ruben Leighty, age 94, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2024 in Prosser, WA.  Charles was born on December 4, 1929 the son of Eva Mae (Thompson) and Chales Ruben Leighty in Mountain Grove, Missouri.  On May 19, 1952 he married   Beatrice  Rodriguez  in Hawaii.   Charles retired from the United States Navy.  He also was a retired farmer, raising cattle, pigs, sheep, and many other farm animals.  Charles loved working on and fixing equipment, in his spare time he enjoyed fishing. 

He is survived by Matt and Alice Leighty of Vancouver, WA., Tommy and Darlen Leighty of Grandview, WA, Eva Mae and John Conley and Charlie and Chris Leighty all of Prosser, WA.   He is also survived by a daughter-in-law Tammy Leighty of Prosser, WA.  Thirty-Seven grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, seven brothers and four sisters.  Charles is preceded in death by his wife Beatrice Leighty, daughter Carmen Studer and son Jimmy T. Leighty.
