Patsy Jane (Bayes) Birdwell, age, 87, went to be in the arms of her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 in Yakima, WA. Patsy was born in Centralia, Washington on March 5, 1937 the daughter of Francis (Clapper) and Herman Bayes. Mom was a very caring, loving person and appreciated nature and animals. She enjoyed taking little road trips just to see the world around her. Patsy loved gardening and cut her flowers to make beautiful arrangements. Patsy was always a stay-at-home mom, but she did all that she could with five children at home. In the summertime she picked fruit with her husband and his family for extra money. The only problem was that the kids would try and help pick but they ate more of the fruit than what went into their buckets. Mom would smile and say be careful now you’ll get a tummy ache from eating all those cherries. Patsy was full of life and had a lot of spunk, but when you heard a high pitch in her voice you knew someone was in trouble. There is so much more we could say about this wonderful woman but for now we will end with, love you mom, we will miss you, till we meet again.
She is survived by her oldest son Dennis Glenn Birdwell, daughters Brenda Lea (Birdwell) Snider, and Pamela Yvonne Birdwell. She is also survived by her grandson, Johnny Lee Birdwell Jr. whom she raised, following the death of his father Johnny. She also had many more grandchildren and great grandchildren, whom she loved dearly, even the ones she didn’t get a chance to meet. She is preceded in death by her husband Glen Monroe Birdwell, son Johnny Lee Birdwell Sr., and daughter Patricia Ann Birdwell.
