Agustin Barajas Sandoval

Agustin Barajas Sandoval, 68, of Benton City, Washington passed away on April 5, 2019.

Agustin was born on April 21, 1950 in Aquila, Michoacan. He is survived by wife Beatriz, five children Evelia, Norma, Agustin Jr., Maricela, and Fidel, one daughter-in-law Anahi, four grandchildren Jazmin, Gerardo Jr., Fidel Jr., and baby Sandoval #4 due April 2019, seven brothers and one sister.

Many knew Agustin as a kind, giving, trusting, and hardworking man. He left a footprint in the hearts of many and he had a special place in his own heart for each and everyone he met throughout his life.

Agustin was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, cousin, uncle, and friend. He will be remembered by all for his kindness.

Agustin worked in farming for over 40 years. He worked as a migrant farm worker in the orchards and then eventually settled to work on a farm in Washington and also began his own livestock farm. He had been working exclusively on his own for the last 9 years.

Viewing and visitation will be held Wednesday, April 10, 2019 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm with the recitation of Holy Rosary at 6:00 pm at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sunnyside, WA. and 8:30am to 10:00am Thursday, April 11, 2019. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, April 11, 2019 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sunnyside, WA. with burial to follow at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside, WA.
