Antonia Vargas Gonzales Cisneros

Antonia Vargas Gonzales Cisneros age 84, of Grandview, WA passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017 in Richland, WA. Antonia was born March 6, 1933 in Jalisco, Mexico the daughter of Martin and Maria (Mendoza) Vargas.  She received her early education in Mexico.  In 1955 Antonia married Reyes Gonzales. They made their home in the Lower Yakima Valley until the time of Reyes passing in 1968. In 1976 Antonia married Ignacio Cisneros in Sunnyside, WA.  Antonia was a stay at home Mom and Homemaker. She loved crocheting, watching novellas and going to the casino with family and friends. She also liked to cook especially menudo and tamales. Antonia attended Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.

Antonia is survived by six children; Alfredo Vargas (Myrna) of Puerto Rico, Martha Shaw (Kelly) of Utah, Samuel Gonzales of Grandview, WA, Maria Isabel Gonzales (Dan) of CA, Elva Gonzales of Seattle, WA and Criscelia Valenzuela (Reynaldo) of Grandview, WA and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and family in Mexico. She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands Reyes Gonzales and Ignacio Cisneros, three children Pedro Gonzales, Reyes Gonzales Jr. and Janie Gonzales and one grandson Reyes Gonzales III.

Viewing and visitation will be held Thursday, May 4, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. with recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Grandview, WA. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, May 5, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Grandview, WA with burial to follow at Grandview Cemetery in Grandview, WA.
