Barbara "Bobby" McLemore Obituary

Barbara “Bobby” Kay (Patterson) McLemore went to be with our Heavenly Father on October 5, 2018.  Bobby was born to Dawson and Jean Patterson on September 11, 1938 in Yakima Washington.  Bobby is the oldest of 4 children, growing up in Tieton, Washington on her father’s apple ranch and attended Highland High School, graduating in 1957.  In September of 1957, Bobby married Edwin McLemore, her high school sweetheart and remained together until his death in 2017.  Bobby spent much of her life around horses and passed this love on to her family members.  She was known for making her amazing cinnamon rolls and her large heart.  Bobby got to travel to the UK, Alaska and Hawii.  She had the rare experience of being the stand in for Patrica Neal in the movie ERIC with stars like Clyde Akins and Mark Hammill in 1973-74 while they were filming in Seattle.  In 1974 Ed and Bobby moved their family to Prosser where they lived the rest of their lives.  Bobby spent her life taking care of others, raising her kids, helping with grand children and great grand children.  She always put others first and her family was bless to have an amazing mother and grandmother.  Bobby was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church; Bobby’s love of God shown through her life and we take comfort in the strength of her faith and knowing we will see her again one day with our Heavenly Father.

Bobby is survived by her five (5) children, Julie (Don) McLemore/Schlaman, Tom (Cindy) McLemore, Robert McLemore, Lachelle Winters, Eileen (Dave) Cushman; 8 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren, sister Gale (Pat) Vachon, brother Dale Patterson, one nephew and three nieces.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Ed, parents Dawson and Jean Patterson and sister Judy Patterson.

In accordance with Bobby’s wishes, a private family service will be held at a later date. Those wishing to sign Bobby’s online memorial book may do so at www.funeralhomesmith.com Smith Funeral Homes in care of arrangements.
