Benjamin Bryan Merry

Benjamin Bryan (Ben) Merry, age 33, lifetime Sunnyside, WA resident died Saturday, May 4, 2019 at his home in Sunnyside, WA.   Ben Merry was born June, 5, 1985 at Sunnyside, WA to Darrell and Carmen (Fernandez) Merry.  He spent his early years and received his education in Sunnyside graduating from the Sunnyside High School with the Class of 2003.  Following his graduation he attended Washington State University.  He was later employed as a truck driver for Swift and then employed by Safeway in Toppenish, WA and was recently promoted to manager of the Sea Food Department.  Ben was also currently attending Yakima Valley Community College and had just received his Phlebotomists certificate and was studying to receive his M.A.  Ben was funny, outgoing, enjoyed the outdoors, swimming, hunting, fishing, music, playing guitar and spending time with his puppy Sixx.  Ben is survived by his parents Carmen (Sally) Merry of Grandview, WA. his father Darrell Merry of Garfield, WA.  One brother Matthew Merry and (Amy) of Kirkland, WA., his grandmother Lydia Fernandez of Kennewick, WA, his puppy Sixx and a number of Aunts, Uncles and Cousins….   

A Celebration of Life Service for Ben Merry will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 10:00. a.m.  at the Grandview Church of the Nazarene, Grandview, WA.   Those wishing to sign Ben’s online memorial book may do so at www.funeralhomesmith.com   Smith Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
