Cesar Barriga

Cesar Barriga, age 27, of Sunnyside, WA passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2016 in Sunnyside, WA. Cesar was born September 15, 1989 in Sunnyside, WA the son of Enrique and Norma (Garza) Barriga. Cesar received his education in Grandview, WA graduating from Grandview High School with the class of 2008.  Cesar worked as a farm laborer, learning many skills from his father, such as picking, pruning, spraying a variety of crops    and tractor driving. From the age of four Cesar’s passion was soccer. He played soccer for parks and recreation and also on a state team with all star kids from around the valley winning many games.  Cesar was a member of the Corner Stone Church in Sunnyside, WA.

He is survived by his parents Enrique and Norma Barriga, one son Jayden Santiago Barriga, two brothers Enrique J. Barriga, Jaime Barriga and one sister Jennifer Marie Barriga. He is preceded in death by his paternal Grandma Antonia Barriga and maternal Grandparents Rafael and Vicenta Garza.

Viewing and visitation will be held Tuesday, November 22, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 pm at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Grandview, WA. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at 11:00 am at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Grandview, WA with burial to follow at Grandview Cemetery in Grandview, WA.
