Clara A. Hill

Clara Ann Hill, age 92 went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 2, 2018 at Amber Hills where she had resided for the past four months.

She was born on June 1st, 1926  in Maquoketa, Iowa to Frank and Charity (Poole) Russell. After graduation, she continued her education at Keating Bible College for two years then followed her family who had previously relocated to Grandview. 

She attended the Sunnyside Free Methodist Church where she met Ellis Hill. Ellis had returned to his hometown after serving in WWII and had started farming. Clara taught for one year before marrying Ellis. They were married on June 3, 1949. They lived and raised their three children in Sunnyside.  She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who faithfully served her family and the Lord. 

She is survived by her three children: David Hill of Grandview; Linda Lilly of Nampa, Idaho; and Dale Hill of Wenatchee. Clara also is survived by a sister, June Rankin of Spokane; Les Russell of Council, Idaho; and a sister-in-law, Eva Russell of Grandview.
