Dena Mae Phillips

Dena Mae Phillips, age 89, passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 in Prosser, Washington. She was born to loving parents Roy Fount and Vera Alva Passmore Massey on April 27, 1929 in Thola, AR. Dena graduated from Sunnyside High School with the class of 1948. Shortly after in 1949 she married the love of her life Bill Phillips in Prosser, WA. 

In her early years Dena was a Receptionist and Clerk at the United Telephone Company. She loved to sing karaoke, dance, and garden and had an exceptional skill at arranging flowers. Dena was a member of the First Baptist Church and was also an avid supporter and member of the Sunnyside Eagles.

Dena is survived by her children Ken (Colleen) Phillips of Richland, WA, Keith (Marian) Phillips of Prosser, WA, and Krys (Yolanda) of Sunnyside, WA.  She is preceded in death by her dear husband Bill, parents Fount and Vera Massey, brother Lavern Massey, sister Mary Cunningham and two still born brothers.

Viewing and visitation will be Sunday, November 11, 2018 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside, WA. Funeral Services will be Monday, November 12, 2018 at 10:00 am at Smith Funeral Home with burial to follow at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside, WA.
