Please know that I am thinking of your family and of my fond memories of Gary.
we lived near each other, went thru Shuksan and BHS together. He was always a
really nice person! My husband had the pleasure of meeting and working with
his brother Darryl in later years as well as thru my cousin. We both send our
love to his family and think of Gary.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Beki and Roz my heart is just so sad. I cant imagine your pain. I will never forget my days working in Mabton and the memories I have about Gary and how darn funny he was. I loved seeing him drive through the nursery and his big heartfelt smile going to fix something! I cherish all...love to you both.

This is So Sad to see! I haven't seen Gary for years, but I have a lot of Fond memories of our younger years. We did things together with friends & played sports together in High School. Knew him before that though as my Cousin lived across the road from the Andersons. Gary was one of the GREAT GUYS. We lost him way to early, but God has a plan for each of us & we never know when that time is. We will be praying for family in this tragic time, but we know Gary is at peace now. ALWAYS keep family & friends close to your Heart!!

Beki & Roz

Heartbroken with you. I first met Gary at a basketball camp the summer before sixth grade. We were opponents for one year in elementary school and then teammates for six years and one more when he was a ringer on my law school team in a UW rec league for graduate students. He was best man at my wedding. He filled our little kitchen in Bellingham when he would come over. We did so many things together. Hard to believe he has passed. He loved you two so deeply and loved his life at the ranch. It fit him so well. Praying for comfort and strength for you.

IT WAS NEVER MY PRIVILEGE TO KNOW GARY REALLY WELL BUT I DEFINITELY REMEMBER HIM AND HIS SINCERE BLUE EYES. THIS IS A GOOD LESSON... THAT EVEN AS A 16/17 YR OLD WE SHOULD USE EVERY OPPORTUNITY TO TAKE THE TIME AND BECOME WELL ACQUAINTED WITH THOSE WHO CROSS OUR PATH.

Rebecca and Roz, I'm so sorry for your loss. I haven't lived around Bellingham since I left in 1970, but I remember Gary from our high school ART classes. (I graduated with him in 1968) He was, as is described here, a really nice guy, a funny guy, and an amazing artist! I'm not surprised to read that he continued to create all his life!
I pray that the God of all comfort wraps His arms around you as only He can comfort.... Sincerely, Carol Hays Sanford
