Glenetta Carol Burgett

Glenetta Carol Burgett, age 81 of Prosser, WA. passed away on Sunday, Oct 20th , 2019 at the Hospice House in Kennewick, WA., She was born November 10, 1937 in Olympia, Wa. The daughter of Leonard W. and Mahallie D. (Channel) Young.

Glenetta received her education at Prosser High School graduating with the class of 1956. After graduation Glenetta moved to Seattle where she lived at the YMCA and worked in downtown.  She met her future husband, John Burgett in grade school in Olympia.  They were reintroduced through family while in high school. John and Glenetta were married on February 14, 1959 in Prosser, WA. at her parent’s home. In 1963, after John’s service in the Army they moved to Prosser and called it home for more than 50 years. She was a lifelong member of the Church of the First Born and a faithful daughter of the Lord; she wanted to make heaven her home. Glenetta was a wonderful daughter, loving mother and devoted wife and will be sorely missed.

Glenetta is survived by her loving children son Stacy (Alison) Burgett, of Prosser, daughter Romy (Darrel) Clifton of Lewiston Id., daughter Danielle (Richard) Vice of Prosser, WA. She is also survived by eight grandchildren Burke (Liz) Burgett, Tyler (Hannah) Burgett, Will Burgett, Hallie (Zach) Faulk, Levi Stark, Sadie (David) Kurth, Shelby (Daniel) Kollmar and Lindsey Vice, six great grandchild and one brother Rick Young. She is preceded in death by her husband John Burgett, her parents Leonard and Mahallie Young and her brother Gary Young
