Jack Kruger Jr. Obituary

Jack B. Kruger Jr., age 82, of Yakima, WA and former Grandview, WA resident passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2018 in Yakima, WA.  Jack was born on June 11, 1936 in Seattle, WA the son of Ruth (Clark) and Jack B. Kruger Sr.  He received his education in Grandview, WA.  Jack was a chaplain while serving  in the United States Air Force from 1957 to 1963.  Following his military service he was employed at Hanford as a pipe insulator for several years.  For twenty-one years Jack was a Prudential Insurance Agent.  Jack was forced into early retirement due to a stroke in September of 1983.  Jack enjoyed flying his plane, leather work, boating, riding his motorcycle, playing his trumpet, camping and fishing.

He was a member of the Congregational Christian Church in Yakima, WA.

Jack is survived by his wife of 62 years, Arlene Kruger of Yakima, WA.  Daughters, Celeste Kruger, Lisa Kotlarz (Mike), Jackie Heneghen (Corey) of Yakima, WA. Son, Jeff Kruger of Seattle, WA.  He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 2 nieces, brother Bud Kruger, sister Jean Kruger. He is preceded in death by his parents and son David Allen Kruger.

Graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Military Honors at the Lower Valley Memorial Gardens, Sunnyside, WA.  Those wishing to sign Jack’s online memorial book may do so at www.funeralhomesmith.com  Smith Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
