Joy Lynn Mount (Grogan) ran into the arms of her Almighty Father on February 28th 2018. Joy died in Richland, Washington surrounded by family. She was born in Prosser Washington on June 30th 1955, to Pat and Mildred (Kessler) Grogan.
Joy attended Prosser High school. She continued her education at both Yakima Business College and Yakima Valley Community College.
For many years, Joy worked at twin City foods. She said she found her calling at Grandview Nazarene where she worked in the church office.
She enjoyed two trips to England, Ireland and Scotland.
The best decision she ever made was to become a Christian in 1975. She was very active in her church. She sang with the Grandview Nazarene choir and worship team for 15 years. Joy was part of two work and witness trips to Caracas, Venezuela and Quito, Ecuador.
She loved to play her guitar and sing Irish songs.
She lived in Prosser until she relocated to Richland a couple years ago to be closer to her four grandchildren and their parents.
She is preceded in death by both of her parents and brother (Gary Grogan). She is survived by her son Jason (Jennifer) Mount, her four grandchildren John, James, Jacob and Jessica, her sister Sandy Goodboe, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
A celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, March 10th at the Grandview Nazarene Church of which she was a member. Refreshments and a time of fellowship will follow the service.
