Kathie S. Benitz

Kathie S. Benitz, age 69 longtime Prosser, WA. resident passed  away Friday, December 6, 2019 at her home in Prosser. Kathie was born December 24, 1950 at Poplar Bluff, MO the daughter of John and Nadine (Phelps) Dell.  At an early age she moved with her family to the Benton City-Prosser area and received her education in Prosser, WA.  On March 17, 1973 Kathie Dell and Max Benitz Jr. were married in Prosser, WA.  Following their marriage they made their home in Prosser.  Her husband Max Benitz Jr. passed away July 11, 2019 and following his death she continued to make her home in Prosser until the time of her death.   Kathie is survived by her children Nancy Rose and Carl Benitz both of Prosser, WA.  She is also survived by her grandchildren, Colton, Abby, Natalie, Gracie and Katie and one great-grandchild Cheyenne and her sisters and brothers, Donna, Tom, Jerry, Carol and Rita.  She is preceded in death by her husband Max Benitz Jr., parents John and Nadine Dell and one brother John Jr.   Family Funeral Services for Kathie will be held at a later date.  Those wishing to sign Kathie’s online memorial book may do so at www.funeralhomesmith.com  Smith Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
