Kimberly Leann (McCallum) Stegeman

Kimberly Leann (McCallum) Stegeman of Grandview, born March 11, 1962, passed away unexpectedly at her home Saturday, May 9th. Kim was born in Sunnyside and raised in Grandview where she graduated high school in 1980. She went on to graduate from Central Washington University with a BA in Elementary Education in 1984. On May 7, 1983 she married Chuck Stegeman in Grandview where they made their home and raised their family.

In September of 1984, Kim went to work with Yakima Valley Community College teaching Adult Basic Education courses helping her students get ready to take the GED test. In June of 2014 she retired from YVCC and joined her husband and two sons in the Family business, Stegeman Electric.

The greatest joy in Kim’s life was her family. She attented all of her kids sporting and school events and was their biggest fan.

Kim is survived by her husband, Chuck Stegeman of Grandview, daughter Ashlie Stegeman of Pasco, sons Nick McCallum and wife Elida of Grandview and Jeremy Stegeman of Grandview. 3 grandchildren Ethan, Isabella and Alyssa McCallum of Grandview. Mother Norma Telford and husband Phil of Goldendale, father Darrell McCallum and wife Roberta of Grandview, brother Darrell McCallum and wife Janice of Spokane and sister Dacia Ogee and husband Ed of Yakima,WA. She is also survived by her neice Jessica McCallum of Seattle, WA. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and nephew Mathew Shenyer.

Viewing and Visitation will be held Thursday, May 14, 2015 at 3:00pm to 7:00pm at Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Grandview, WA. A Funeral Service will be held Friday, May 15, 2015 at 10:00 am at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Grandview, WA.
