Linda Egley, age 71, former Sunnyside resident passed away Saturday, July 21, 2018 in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Linda was born December 13, 1946, to Loyd and Leona Record in Yakima, Washington. She received her early education in Selah, Washington.
When Linda married Sid Egley they continued the families business, Egley’s Work and Western in Yakima. They later closed the Yakima store and opened Egley’s Work and Western in Sunnyside and added Egley’s Men’s Wear. They operated the store together until 2001. Sid died July 31, 2002. In 2004 Linda moved to Puerto Vallarta to live full-time. She was very active in the Sunnyside community including: Lower Valley Hospice Auction, Uptown Sunnyside Association and the Sunshine Days activities. Linda and Sid loved the Sunnyside Community.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents Loyd and Leona, husband Sid. She is survived by sons Rodney (Gail) Wilson, Todd Wilson and 5 grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Walter (Minette) Record, numerous nieces and nephews, long time employee and devoted friend Javier Isquierdo. Linda is also survived by many friends living in Puerto Vallarta including special friend Mercedes. She enjoyed her visits from family and friends so much and shopping trips with Mary Lee and Patty.
