Manuel Mendez Obituary

On the night of Thursday, November 21, 2019 Manuel Mendez-Reyna beloved father of Elijah, Deimien, Qristian and Hayden passed away at the age of 43.

Manuel was born in Pasco, Washington on July 17, 1976 to Jose and Evangelina Mendez.  He graduated from Sunnyside High School, worked for the oil industry in Texas and North Dakota then settling back down in Washington and working as a sheet metal fabricator.

Manuel had a passion for the outdoors, music, finding new adventures and big family gatherings.  He was a class clown who always loved making people laugh, but his true love was for his children.

Manuel was known for his positive “LOUD” motivation, kind heart and infectious laugh.  He was compassionate, understanding, and a great friend to all.

Manuel is survived by his four sons, Elijah, Deimien, Qristian, and Hayden. His mother Evangelina and 9 siblings; Lupe, Martin, Triny, Gabriel, Pedro, Jose Luis, Teresa, Martha and Ofelia.  Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his grandparents Eliseo and Aurelia Mendez, Jesus and Eloisa Reyna and his father Jose Mendez.

Viewing and visitation will be held on Friday, Nov. 29, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.at with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside, WA.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sunnyside.
