Marian R. Boast

Marian R. Boast, 94, longtime Grandview, WA resident went to her eternal rest on Friday, June 9, 2017.  Marian was born on January 16, 1923 in Bottineau, North Dakota the daughter of Anna (Pederson) and Ralph W. Emerson.  She received her education in Grandview and graduated with the Grandview High School Class of 1940.   Following graduation she worked several years as a bookkeeper in Aberdeen, WA.  On January 11, 1946 she married Roy Boast in Grandview, WA.    Marian was the bookkeeper for the family farm.  She enjoyed traveling, cooking, sewing and reading.  Marian was a member of the Sunnyside Emblem Club and a active member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Grandview, WA.

Marian is survived by two sons Lynn Boast (Christine) and Mark Boast all of Prosser, WA.   She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Marian is preceded in death by her parents Anna and Ralph Emerson, one daughter Tena Krumb and her brothers.

Viewing and visitation will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at the Smith Funeral Home, Grandview, WA from 3:00 to 6:30 p.m. Funeral Service will  be held on Friday, June 16, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Grandview, WA.  Burial will be in the Grandview Cemetery.  Smith Funeral Home in care of arrangements.   Those wishing to sign Marian’s online memorial book may do so at www.funeralhomesmith.com
