Patty Marie Stafford

Patty Stafford, 55, of Prosser Washington unexpectedly passed away on Friday Dec 27, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was born on October 21, 1964 to William Sr and Helen Stott in San Jose, California. Patty spent her early years enjoying the California sun until the life changing move in the fall of 1975. After the move, Patty jumped in with both feet experiencing FFA, choir, drill team and much more. During the fall of her senior year, Patty was blessed with finding her best friend and soul mate of 37 years, Leon Wayne Stafford Jr.  Soon thereafter, they married on July 3, 1983. Throughout the next few years, Patty and Leon were blessed with 3 children. In addition to devoting her life to her children, she was always known for being there. Thick or thin, she was the first person you could call and she would be there for you, no matter where you were. After raising her family, Patty & Leon were just starting to enjoy their next adventure. They loved spending time with their “grandbabies”, cruising backroads, beachcombing, storm chasing, and watching wildlife.

Patty was preceded in death by her grandparents, her father William F. Stott Sr and her sister Debbie Stott-Veloz. Patty is survived by her loving husband Leon Wayne Stafford Jr., her children Deborah (Ryan) Baggerly, Leon Wayne Stafford III, and Reanne (Tom) Grager, her mother Helen O’Leary, her nephew Brian Stott, her brother Bill Stott Jr., and her grandbabies: Bryce, Hayden, Wyatt, Evelyn-Kay, and Leon IV.

The viewing will be held Thursday, January 2, 2020 from 5pm-8pm at Smith Funeral Home in Grandview, WA. The funeral service will be held Friday, January 3, 2020 at the Covenanat Presbyterian Church in Prosser at 11am. A graveside service will follow at the East Prosser Cemetery, as well as a reception back at the church.
