Petra Escobar

Petra Escobar, age 77 longtime Grandview resident died Tuesday, August 6, 2019 in Richland, WA.    Petra Escobar was born January 3, 1942 at Bolanos, Jalisco, Mexico to Miguel and Sabina Escobar.  She spent her early years and received her education in Mexico.  She married Jose A. Ayala on May 27, 2006 in Grandview, WA.  Petra worked in agriculture picking cherries, apples and pears.  She loved to cook, clean and take care of her grandchildren.  She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Grandview, WA.  She is survived by her husband Jose A. Ayala of Grandview, WA.  Her children Juan M Escobar (Juana)…Reyna Escobar (Adelelmo Garcia) …Rogelio Escobar…Marie I. Escobar (Jorge Martinez)…8 grandchildren..Octavio, Karina, Veronica, Adelelmo Jr., Jean, Giselle, Jorge Jr. and Karlan…11 great grandchildren…1 sister Celedonia, 2 brothers Cirilo and Fortunato…she is preceded in death by her parents 3 children  Isidro, Miguel and Jose…2 brothers Santos and Jose…

Viewing and visitation will be held on Sunday, August 11, 2019 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a Rosary at 6:00 PM at the Chapel of the Smith Funeral Home, Grandview, WA.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 12, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Grandview, WA.  Burial will be at the Grandview Cemetery, Grandview, WA.  Those wishing to sign Petra’s online memorial book may do so at www.funeralhomesmith.com   Smith Funeral Home Grandview in care of arrangements.
