Sharon Rose Ridenour

January 29, 1941 ~ May 7, 2017 (age 76) 76 Years Old


Sharon Rose Ridenour, age 76, of Grandview, WA went to be in the arms of her Heavenly Father on Sunday, May 7, 2017.   Sharon was born on January 29, 1941 in Bison, South Dakota the daughter of Eunice Arlene (Hysell) and Richard Daniel Ruby.   She received her education in Sturgis, South Dakota.  On November 14, 1959 she married the love of her life, LeRoy Ridenour in Prosser, WA.  In her younger years Sharon worked in the fields and later spent many hours being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister.  Sharon enjoyed teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. In her spare time she would embroidery, create crafts and collect chickens.   Sharon was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, Sunnyside and former member of the Christian Motor Cycle Association. 

Sharon is survived by her husband, LeRoy Ridenour of Grandview, WA. One daughter Julie Montelongo of Grandview, WA, two sons David Ridenour of Walla Walla and Randy Ridenour (Brenda) 0f Grandview, WA.  She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren  and one brother, Bryan Ruby of Richland, WA.  Sharon is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Wayne Ruby.

Celebration of life service will be held on Friday, May 12, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church 908 Woodward St. Sunnyside, WA 98944. In lieu of flowers those wishing to honor Sharon’s memory may contribute to the American Diabetes Association c/o 2451 Crystal Drive,Suite900 Arlington, VA 22202
