Theodore John Mahre, 54, of Grandview passed away unexpectedly on October 25, 2019. He was born on November 14, 1964 in Vancouver, Washington to Donald Alan Mahre and Rose Marie Mahre. The Mahre family relocated to Grandview, Washington where Ted grew up, graduated from school, and made many friends.
In July 1992, he married Cleotilde Ruiz and they had their son Steven A. Mahre and daughter Josefa M. Mahre, later divorced.
He worked at Grandview Conoco for a few years and began his career with Safeway in August of 2013 until his passing. He enjoyed the football season with his two favorite teams Buffalo Bills and Seattle Seahawks. His favorite drink was Mountain Dew and he also enjoyed his hobby of making Dream Catchers, as well as visiting and talking with his friends and family around Grandview. He always had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh and smile.
Theodore is survived by his son Steven A. Mahre and daughter Josie M. Mahre. He is also survived by sisters Nancy Mahre, Susan Signor, Jeanette English, Gloria Mahre Kirkpatrick, Myra Beauchamp, Rosanna Mahre and a close niece Jessica Woodworth. Along with numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and other family. He is also survived by his girlfriend, Norma Jeane. He preceded in death by his parents, sisters Michelle Mahre, Cindy Lucki and brothers Danny Mahre, Steven Mahre and Allan Mahre.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 3:00 pm at Grandview Nazarene Church in Grandview, WA. Those wishing to sign Ted’s online memorial book may do so at www.funeralhomesmith.com. Smith Funeral Home is in care of arrangements.
