Virginia L Lakins

Virginia Louise Lakins age 86 of Eatonville, WA formerly of Mabton, WA passed away Sunday, November 4, 2018 surrounded by her family in Puyallup, WA. Virginia was born August, 11, 1932 in Harlan, Kansas to Cecil and Adele (Shambaugh) Jones. She lived in Mabton, WA most of her adult life with her parents. The family moved to Sunnyside in 1975 and continued to live there until 1996 when she moved to Eatonville, WA to be with her oldest daughter. Virginia loved her animals she had throughout her life. The love for her children and grandchildren was always important to her. She will be greatly missed by all her family members.

Virginia is survived by her three children Linda Hamilton of Eatonville, WA, Lorna Dawson of Mabton, WA and Larry Lakins of Zillah, WA. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Cecil and Adele Jones, brother Kenneth Jones and one grandson Travis Dawson.   

Viewing and visitation will be held Thursday, November 8, 2018 from 12:00 to 8:00 pm at Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside, WA. Graveside service will be Friday, November 9, 2018 at 10:00 am at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside, WA.
