  Zona Wilmetta Henning joined her husband in God’s grace Tuesday evening, March14, 2017 in Sunnyside Washington.  She had suffered a stroke and died of respiratory failure.  She was born Zona Willametta Folden on June 21, 1926 in Beatrice, Nebraska.  After spending her child hood there she married her husband, Fred Henning on November 16, 1946 and two years later moved with him to the Grandview area where, except for a short time in Benton City, they spent the rest of their lives. She enjoyed a simple life making a home for her husband and children and in her spare time enjoying her favorite hobbies of gardening and Crafting.  When times were hard she worked in the fields making sure her children had clothes for school and presents beneath the tree at Christmas which was always her favorite holiday.  She was always a religious women, but did not get to church as much as she would have wanted.  However, later in life after the children had left the home, she had the opportunity attend more regularly and always enjoyed helping people and volunteering. 

She is survived by one sister in law, Geneva Folden of Yakima, her Children, Frederick and Jo Henning of Prosser, Rebbecca and Larry Lloyd of Prosser, Dale and Crystal Henning of Centralia, her grandchildren Richard Caldwell of Abilene,Texas, Misty and Thomas Millet of Southridge, Massachussettes and Eric and Jemery Henning of Prosser, Justin Cooley of Spokane, Dylan Altona of Centralia, and her great grandchildren, Ashlyn Caldwell of Abilene Texas, and Molly Cooley of Spokane.  

She is preceded in death by her loving husband Fred, her mother and father, Leonard and Edith Folden, her brothers Isaac Folden, Delmar Folden, John Folden, Lyle Folden, Charles Folden, Lewis Folden and her Sisters Marcella Folden, Loretta Salts, Valera Stevens and Phylis Clemons.

Graveside services will be held Friday morning at 10:00 at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside, Washington.  The reception will be at the Grandview Community Church at 910 Wine Country Road, Grandview, WA .
