Adela Moreno Navarro age 85 of Richland, WA passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. Adela was born March 13, 1938 in Georgetown, Texas the daughter of Ambrosio and Herminia (Sarabia) Moreno. She received her early education and high school diploma in Texas. On September 17, 1955, Adela married Juan J. Navarro. Shortly after they were married, they moved to the Lower Yakima Valley. Adela worked for over thirty years as a Para Pro for the Outlook and Sunnyside Schools. She liked planting plants and attending all family events. She loved making jewelry with her grandkids and great grandkids. Adela attend church at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sunnyside, WA.
Adela is survived by her children, Antero Navarro, Robert Navarro (Hilda), Linda Navarro Diane Elizondo (Rey) and Elida Saldana (Benjamin). She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and one sister Anita Marquez. She is preceded in death by her husband Juan J. Navarro, parents Ambrosio and Herminia Moreno.
Viewing and Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside, WA. Funeral Liturgy will be held on Friday, December 1, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. at the Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside, WA. Burial will follow at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens, Sunnyside, WA.
