In memory of the life of Alice Elizabeth Martin Prescott
Born on July 4th 1926 on her own mother's birthday, she kept her mother from a 4*" of July picnic, in Sunnyside, Washington. Alice Prescott lived a life filled with simple passion, loving dedication, and newfound joys. She was known for her unwavering commitment to family. Married July 5th 1946 in Polson Montana to Ralph John Prescott. They were married 76 years, but they met when they were 14 and 16. Their only child Kathleen was born May 8 1948. She found great happiness in being a wife and mother. Alice was very social, was a clerk at JC Pennys, dressing window and mannequins and making handwritten calligraphy signage. Alice enjoyed sewing, cooking, roller skating and dancing. She was a member of Nouvella a lady's society group and Beta Sigma Phi. Those who spent time with her will remember her quiet but infectious laugh and good heart and welcoming home.
Alice is survived by daughter, Kathleen Sparrow Rogers, Grandsons Keith Sparrow, Judi Holman Sparrow, Grandview,; Kurtis Sparrow and wife Kristin Carroll Sparrow, Carbondale Colorado; Great Grandsons Jared Holman (Sparrow), Spokane and Braiden Sparrow, Pasco WA. and Great Great Granddaughter, Penelope Holman, Spokane; and many nieces and nephews, and their children, as well as several friends who became like family.
Alice was predeceased her loving husband of 76 years, he passed on in August 2022 at 98 years of age. Ralph Prescott, her mother and father Amalia Lorenz Martin and Jacob Martin, siblings, baby brother Jacob Martin, Molly Kleingartner, Katie Johnson, Elsie
Mattingley, Bob Martin, Helen Price, and Betty Booher. The memory of her love will live on in all who were fortunate enough to share in her life. A loving thank you to family friend, Jory Anderson and Bishop Dylan Gardner.
Viewing and visitation will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at the Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside, WA. Inurnment will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lower Valley Memorial Gardens, Sunnyside, WA.
