Anmaree McDaniel, age 83, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, adventure, and deep faith. Born in Sunnyside to Gerrit and Pat Schilperoort, Anmaree lived a life rich in experience and love, calling many countries around the world home before returning to the Yakima Valley in the 1990s.
Known for her sweet spirit and vibrant storytelling, Anmaree had a gift for making others feel seen and valued. She brought joy and wisdom to every conversation. She was a devoted volunteer, gave countless hours to her community, always guided by her generous heart and strong sense of purpose. Annie found joy in tending her garden, participating in yoga, and being actively involved in church life—places where her light and kindness touched many.
A viewing will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 13th from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Graveside services will take place at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens, Sunnyside on Wednesday, May 14th at 11:00 AM. A memorial service will be held at Faith Community Church in Zillah on Friday, July 11, 2025 at 4:00 p.m.
