Arturo C Palacios Sr.

Arturo C. Palacios Sr., age 64, passed away on Monday, July 25, 2022 in Prosser, WA and went to be in the arms of his Creator.  Art was born on September 26, 1957 in McAllen, TX the son of Francisca (Chavez) and Jose L. Palacios.  He received his education in McAllen, Texas .  On April 7, 1989 he married Francisca Torres in Sunnyside, WA.   Art worked as a truck driver for various companies in the Yakima Valley for over 27 years.   He enjoyed everything from listening to Tejano Music, cleaning his car to go country cruising, dancing, family time and barbeques, and going to the casino. Art had a heart of gold, great sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh. 

He was a member of the Catholic Church.  

Art is survived by his wife, Francisca Palacios, children Arturo Palacios Jr. (Gilda), Elizabeth Palacios(Felix), Johnny Borjas (Maria), Roslinda Benitez (Jose), Anna Borjas, Juan Rosalez (Corina), Oscar Rosalez (Angie), Eric Rosalez (Connie). He is also survived by thirty-five grandchildren and thirty-one great grandchildren, brothers Jose Palacios (Mary), Hector Palacios (Vickie), Cesar Palacios (Lula), sister Hortencia Ozuna (Jr.) and sister-in-law, Margarita Palacios.   He is preceded by his parents, Francesca and Jose Palacios and brother, Daniel C. Palacios.  

Viewing and visitation will be on Friday, July 29, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside, WA.  Those wishing to sign Art’s online memorial book may do so at www.funeralhomesmith.com  Smith Funeral Home is in care of arrangements.
