Ashley Nichole Guevara gained her wings on October 4, 2020 and is now soaring with the angels. Though her life was taken tragically and far too soon, her final days were spent with family and friends laughing, bonding and creating lasting memories for her loved ones to cherish.
Ashley was born on June 6, 1999 in Sunnyside, WA. She spent her earlier years in Grandview, WA. She then attended Pasco Middle School and Chiawana High School. She worked at Bush Car Wash and was a very hard worker. Many customers recall enjoying the beautiful smile on her face.
Ashley was a wonderful mother to a special young boy, Zakiah. He was her world and she was his. She enjoyed being outdoors hiking and camping. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was always the life of the party.
She will be missed dearly by her son, 1-year old Zakiah Dorantes. She is also survived by her parents Nora Amador and Armando Guevara, step-mother Shannon Stewart; siblings Jordan Williams, Julian Williams, Adriana Saavedra, Brittany Williams, Nickolas Guevara, Gunner Chronis and Alyssa Guevara; step-siblings Tonia Howe, Traci Avera, Krista Castillo, and Kasey Castillo; grandparents Ignacia Amador and Arnaldo Amador; boyfriend Kevin Esquivel; Zakiah's father, Alfonso Dorantes ; as well as numerous family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Andres Guevara and Dora Salinas; cousin Armando Chavez; great-grandparents Alejandro and Cristina Martinez, Francisco and Maria Pura Samaniego; and aunt Ruth Torres.
Viewing will be on Thursday, October 8, 2020 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside, WA. Funeral services will be on Friday, October 9, 2020 at 9:00 am at Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside, WA and will be followed by a burial ceremony at 11:00 am at City View Cemetery in Pasco, WA. Friends and family are welcome to join after the burial for a Celebration of Ashley’s Life from 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm at the Reale Hall in Grandview, WA.
