There's a debate whether we raised pigs or if it was just a wild one that ran through the barnyard.
Bea worked for Art Hill at Hills Broiler on Hwy 12 in the late 60's and early 70's waitressing, serving local celebrity Roscoe Sheller. She also became the cook for Art and went on to chef at the Dark Horse Inn and the Tillicum Restaurant.
She and Calvin were avid horse people, belonging to the Back Country Horsemen's Club of Washington State., going on many outings up into the mountains, clearing paths and camping. She rode her horse, Banjo, on the Washington Centennial wagon train across the state in 1989. Her husband, Calvin, passed away in 1995. For the next 20+ years, before his death in 2023, she lived with George Scull.
