Berena Zyph

Berena Mendoza Zyph of Grandview, Washington, peacefully passed away on April 10, 2025. She was surrounded by her loving family during her final moments. She was born in Oceanside, California, on October 28, 1973. Berena is a devoted wife to Marshall Zyph and is a loving mother to Marshall, Katie, and Emilie Zyph.

Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and making others feel loved. Berena found great pleasure in taking vacations with her husband, daughters, and son while capturing memorable moments. 

Berena is also survived by her parents, Javier and Agapita Mendoza, and siblings Mario Mendoza, Cristina (Ray) Ledesma, Juvenal (Lucia) Mendoza , Gloria Mendoza, Homero (Veronica) Mendoza, Agetha Mendoza, and Francisco Javier (Judith) Mendoza. 

Berena Zyph is preceded in death by her brother Raul Mendoza and sister Patricia Mendoza-Esqueda.

Rest in peace, dear Berena Zyph. Your love will forever remain in our hearts.

Viewing and visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside, WA. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the New Hope Church, Sunnyside, WA.  Burial will follow at the Grandview Cemetery Grandview, Washington.  Those wishing to sign Berena’s online memorial book may do so at www.funeralhomesmith.com   Smith Funeral Home is in care of arrangements.
