Betty Josephine “Betty Jo” McCall passed away on March 4, 2026, in Yakima, Washington.
Betty was born on August 22, 1935, to Samuel J. Collins and Edna Davis Collins. She was raised in Benton City, Washington, where she attended Kiona-Benton Schools for all twelve years, graduating with the Class of 1952. Following high school, she attended Business College in Yakima.
Not long after, Betty met the love of her life, Don McCall. They were married in 1953 and built a life together centered around family and friendship. Together they raised three sons: Donald Ray, Harold Dean, and David Lynn.
Betty enjoyed a long and dedicated career with Twin City Foods, where she worked for 32 years before retiring in 2000.
Family and friendships meant everything to Betty. Some of her fondest memories included attending the Ki-Be School Reunion with the Class of 1952, sharing Christmas breakfast with the Crawford family, and many hunting adventures over the years. She especially cherished her role as “Grandma” to many.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Edna Collins; her beloved husband, Donald McCall; her sons Donald, Dean, and David; in-laws, Marie and Ed McCall; her brothers, Samuel Jr. and Danny; and mother and father in-law, Marie and Ed McCall.
She is survived by her sister, Wanda Schwendig; her brother-in-law, Delbert McCall; her sister-in-law, Judy McCall; and many loving nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind special friends Bob Harris, Joann Crawford, Pam and Alan Doughty, and Brandon and Chrystalyn Lilly.
Betty was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Benton City, Washington.

Funeral Service will be on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 11:00 a.m.at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter – day Saints Prosser, WA.
