Billy Claude Morrow, 95, died peacefully in his sleep in Mabton, Washington surrounded by his family. He was born April 16, 1926, to John and Mildred Morrow. He married Berniece Morrow on June 9, 1950. Together they had two sons, Edwin (Globe, AZ) and Clayton (Connie) (Pueblo, CO). They have three grandchildren (Jason, Austin, & Janet) and ten great grandchildren. Bill had many passions during his life which included breaking horses with his brothers and working the family ranch, but his true passion was in being a rockhound and self-taught silversmith. Bill spent time with friends collecting rocks all over the U.S.A. Bill spent much of his free time turning his findings into beautiful works of art. Those who have visited Bill at home and countless gem and mineral shows knew that his life was dedicated to rocks, and he loved to tell you about them but rarely where he found them. He was also the president of four corners gem and mineral club for many years. Bill also spent time working for Empire Gas and with his wife Berniece ran the Boyville Ranch in Mabton, WA, the Kings Garden in Seattle and their own family Silver Spurs Boys Ranch in Tonasket. They also enjoyed traveling by RV across the country. Anyone who knew Bill that nothing was more important than friends and family to him. Bill will always be remembered as a kind, gentle and caring man who always had a smile on his face and always with a greeting of “Howdy Howdy.” He would always tell you that he was having fun in life and as long as he was having fun he was going to keep on going. He left us with many pearls of wisdom, including hold on to the time that you have because once it’s gone you can’t get it back. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, John & Mildred, his brother Dean and his wife Berniece. He is survived by his brother Jack, his sons Clayton and Ed and his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
