ELLEN “BLANCHE” KING
Ellen “Blanche” King, 106 ,of Prosser, Washington passed away Saturday November 4th 2023 at her home with her Grand Daughter Michelle at her side. She was born April 29,1917 in Mabton to George and Elsie Brallier Fisher. She received her education in Mabton and graduated 1937. Following graduation she moved to Spokane and Attended North Western Business College.On June 12th 1942 she married Norman T. King Blanche farmed with Norman on the King family farm from 1942 to 1979 when they moved to Grandview. On April 28th, 2009. She moved to Yakima where she resided until her move to Prosser in 2022. Blanche enjoyed crafting, gardening, and traveling. She loved to read traveling and historic books and would read up on the places they were able to Visit. Blanche was part of the Grandview Rose Garden Club . She was one of the original members of the 24 Club homemakers group, P.E.O. and Mabton Methodist Church for many years until they moved to Grandview and joined the Bethany Presbyterian Church. One of the things that worried her the most was that she was getting so old that all her friends in heaven will think she didn’t make it. She is survived by her son Gordon(Connie) of Prosser, Daughter-in-law Marylee King of Wilsonville 5 Grandchildren Michelle King Oswalt(Craig)of Granger, Tracy King of West Richland, Jennifer King Lovelady(Mark) Gilbert, Az, Arthur King (Kathy) Renton, BethAnne King(Jeff) Chicago, Il 10 Great Grandchildren Brandon(Brielle), Lyndsay, Jordan{Grace}, Eizaya, Alexis, Luke, Landyn, Ashton, Oliver and Evan. 5 Great Great grandsons Jaxon, Kase, Banks, Avery and Marcus. Blanche was preceded in death by her parents George and Elsie Fisher, Husband Norman T. King, son Norman B. King and two sisters Lois Fisher and Doris Elder.
Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. at the Bethany Community Church, Grandview, WA.
