Brandon Frank Hamilton, age 47, of Pasco, Washington passed away on September 23, 2024. Brandon was born to Bud and Tynee Hamilton of Prosser, Washington on March 10, 1977. He was joined by his younger brother, Devin Hamilton, in May of 1980.
Brandon always found community in his hometown and had a special place in his heart for those he grew up with. Throughout his life, Prosser was always a place he gravitated back to.
Brandon spent his early years in the family’s wheat fields, being a third generation farmer. He spent summers boating with his family and friends and developed a love for water skiing. Like most cowboys he loved horses and enjoyed roping. He had a had a special fondness for his horse, Sly , who made a guest appearance in his senior photos.
At 24 years of age, Brandon and his first wife, Jill Clossen, welcomed a beautiful daughter Mackenzie Laine, bringing softness to a man who was typically confident and stoic in demeanor.
Brandon later moved to the Tri-cities, and continued his life with his second wife Erin Mallory. Joining step daughter Ashley into the fold. Makenzie and Ashley created a strong sister bond and soon became inseparable. Brandon was a very outgoing and social person, often the life of the party. On occasion he was known to entertain those closest to him, with his country music ballads.
Growing up on a wheat farm, Brandon learned many life skills that followed him throughout his life. At a young age he developed a love for heavy equipment and knew how to operate it. This love took him on several different paths throughout his life, from farming, to trucking, to excavation work. Brandon was never afraid to work hard or get dirty, yet somehow he always managed to remain spotless. He could change the oil on a rig, or crawl out of a ditch, and his white shirt was untouched by the dirt and his wranglers were still crisply starched, with a perfect crease down the middle.
One of his family’s greatest traditions was the yearly Lind Combine Derby. Each spring Brandon and his brother Devin would swap who drove in the competition. They were joined by their parents, Bud and Tynee, camping out and preparing the combine to compete. The weekend was filled with family and friends from all over, coming to support whatever theme the Hamilton’s had chosen for the Combine that year. Typically the weekend began with a ceremony parade where Mackenzie, Ashley and Brandon’s Nieces Reese and Emersyn, would wave from atop their combine chariot, throwing out candy to all the kids lining the streets. The weekend ended with everyone coming together to pick up the broken pieces of machinery and reminisce over the previous years, saying their goodbyes, and heading back home.
Brandon’s family and friends will miss his meticulous dress, confident swagger, and beautiful singing voice. But the thing they will miss the most is seeing him turn his head back to look over his shoulder, leaving those who loved him, with his special Brandon smile.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 27, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home, Grandview, WA. Those wishing to sign Brandon's online memorial book may do so at www.funeralhomesmith.com Smith Funeral Home is in care of arrangements.
